Smart Lesson LMS
[web app]Multi-role academic management and lesson-planning SaaS for schools, colleges, and madrasahs, with trilingual RTL support.
project role: Frontend Lead & UI/UX Designer · ASH Foundation
overview & my role
I led frontend and UI/UX end to end, taking Smart Lesson from a blank Figma file to a production SaaS that unifies syllabus tracking, daily lesson planning, exam routines, and academic inspection for educational institutions.
Built with Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind, and Shadcn UI as a fast web app and installable PWA. I designed the full design system in Figma and turned it into a reusable component library, with role-based portals for Super Admins, Institute Admins and Principals, Subject Teachers, and Academic Inspectors.
The product serves both conventional institutions and madrasahs, so it handles real academic complexity: lesson plans with execution tracking, chapter-level syllabus milestones, dual solar and lunar calendars, automated exam timetables, classroom inspection audits with rating metrics, and native English, Bengali, and Arabic localization with right-to-left (RTL) layouts.
what I built
- Complete UI/UX design system in Figma, implemented as responsive desktop, tablet, and mobile views.
- Role-based access control (RBAC) with tailored dashboards for Super Admins, Institute Admins, Teachers, and Inspectors.
- Lesson planning and syllabus tracking with chapter-level milestones and mark distribution.
- Class routine and exam schedule planners with venue allocation, invigilator assignment, and PDF export.
- Academic Inspector suite for on-site classroom audits, lesson delivery checks, and supervisory feedback.
- Trilingual localization (English, Bengali, Arabic) with dynamic right-to-left (RTL) rendering.
results & impact
- Led frontend and UI/UX end to end, from first wireframe to production
- Built for multi-campus governance across schools, colleges, and madrasahs
- Trilingual (English, Bengali, Arabic) with native RTL and lunar calendar support
- Mobile-first PWA tuned for low-bandwidth campus networks
